Cortijo las Rosas is a beautiful converted farmhouse, secluded from all the worldly hustle and bustle, amidst extensive olive groves. Our casita was nicely decorated, and equipped with everything you can imagine, such as a kitchen with good pots and pans, all kinds of herbs, oil and vinegar, dishwashing liquid, drying rack, … In addition to a refrigerator in the casita, there was also an extra cooling and freezer space available in a common room. There were also board games and swimming equipment ready for general use. Furthermore, there was also a washing machine available, where even the detergent was provided. Also coolboxes that you can take with you during a day trip, were provided. We stayed in the Cortijo las Rosas during a heat wave, but nevertheless it was pleasant to stay in the casita, because of the quite thick, whitewashed walls that provided the necessary coolness. We had a shady courtyard, where it was nice to have breakfast and to barbecue in the evening. Furthermore, it was pleasant to stay in the blissful swimming pool, where the only sound was the (Hidden by Airbnb) ing of birds. Gillian and Maryllyn are very friendly, cheerful and attentive hostesses. They ensure that you do not lack anything during your stay, give tips for a day out, and are happy to reserve a table in a restaurant. We are very much looking forward to returning to Cortijo las Rosas as soon as possible, but for a longer period, because one week was way too short.

We stayed in Casita Galgo, one of the charming little Cortija Rosa cottages. Blown away by the charm and beauty of the cottage and the idyllic setting. It’s very remote but certainly not hard to reach and there’s plenty to do around the area (Lake Iznajar and Priego de Codoba not far). Icing on the cake – the views from the lovely clean swimming pool, see it to believe it. I didn’t want to leave, it was really special. Gillian and Marylynne were lovely, friendly and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I’d recommend staying here for a truly relaxing holiday

We had a wonderful 5 night stay in Casita Rosa. A perfect tranquil and off the beaten track location for a quiet family break. The view and the pool were spectacular, with plenty of loungers and pool toys for our toddler. The casita and private courtyard were comfortable and well provided for. We appreciated the small generous touches for provisions. We also particularly enjoyed the stunning planting around the whole property with heady scents of fig, jasmine, rose and honeysuckle. Finally it was great to be hosted by Gillian and Marylynne who were extremely helpful with our requests, as well as accommodating to our particular needs. We would certainly like to return someday and perhaps hire the other two casitas with extended family. Highly recommend!!

We had the perfect week at Cortijo Las Rosas and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We had a lovely time exploring the local area with places such as Cordoba being easily reachable by car. The casita is modern, clean and the hosts have thought of everything. We opted to have a ‘welcome pack’ which came with good quality food and ingredients, many from the local area. The casitas stayed cool even in the heat and the shared pool offered a lovely place to relax in the sun. Gillian and Marylynne are the perfect hosts. They are incredibly welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. They gave us a number of recommendations, including for one of their local restaurants, and all were wonderful. This was one of the best holiday rentals we have stayed in and we will definitely return.

The Cortijo is located in a remote part of Andalusia. Via a beautiful route through the olive groves and a little bit off road you arrive at Cortijo las Rosas. The welcome is warmest, the cottage (Casita Perdiz) fully equipped and the swimming pool with beautiful view a relief after a long journey. The cities of Cordoba, Granada and Malaga are easy to do with the directions of the owners of the Cortijo. We enjoyed our time at Cortijo las Rosas very much. Definitely worth recommending.

De cortijo staat in een afgelegen deel van Andalusië. Via een een prachtige route door de olijfboomgaarden en een klein stukje off road kom je aan bij cortijo las Rosas. De welkomst is allerhartelijkst, het huisje (Cassita Perdiz) van alle gemakken voorzien en het zwembad met prachtig uitzicht een verademing na een lange reis. De steden Cordoba, Granada en Malaga zijn met de aanwijzingen van de eigenaars van de cortijo goed te doen. Wij hebben erg genoten van onze tijd in cortijo las Rosas. Zeker het aanbevelen waard.

What a beautiful place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the tranquillity. Marylynne and Gillian are wonderful hostesses! There is very good communication from booking to arrival. After we were warmly welcomed, they showed us extensively and explained everything. We stayed in Casita Galgo where everything is really there to stay for a longer period of time. Great bed, good bathroom and an extensive. Although the Cortijo is a bit remote, which makes for wonderful quiet nights, restaurants/supermarkets are not far away.

There are plenty of beautiful places to discover in the area, but it is also absolutely no punishment to enjoy the swimming pool or your own private patio on site. In short, if you are looking for a nice, quiet and complete stay at 2 Superhosts then you have come to the right place.

Breathtakingly beautiful and serene, this rental was a little gem surrounded by nature and wonder.  The hosts are friendly, informative and down to earth.  They provide a vast hub of local knowledge and an array of reading (The Kurds, Botswana, Diamonds, history, etc) .  The casitas are clean and surprisingly cool in the heat with soft, crisp linen as a standard. You can see the care which the hosts have gone to into making the Cortijo a special find.  Would recommend this idyllic oasis to everyone.

Cortijo las Rosas is everything you dream about. It is beautiful, quiet and romantic.  A place where you get inspired. The nature is beautiful.  And Gillian & Marylynne have created an environment that feels like home.  With a lot of taste!  We had such a great time there. Love Lenneke en Kai
