"Wir sind ein Paar mit einer 1-jáhrigen Tochter und haben im April 2011 eine tolle Woche im Cortijo Las Rosas verbracht.
Wir hatten das Casita Perdiz gebucht und haben uns mehr als wohl gefühlt.
Die Maisonettewohnung war mit allem ausgestattet, was man für das tá.gliche Leben braucht. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, selbst Kinderbett, Hochstuhl und Babybadewanne waren vorhanden.
Nicht nur unsere Wohnung war liebevoll und modern eingerichtet, sondern das gesamte Anwesen kann sich mehr als sehen lassen.
Marylynne und Gillian sind sehr liebenswerte Gastgeberinnen mit hervorragenden Tipps.

We\’ve just spent a lovely week at Cortijo las Rosas. (children aged 9 and 12)Escaping from a long English winter it was wonderful to bask in the sunshine by the beautiful pool with wonderful views of olive trees on the hillsides. This is a lovely house, in a stunning location. Gillian and Marylynne are great hosts, knowledgeable about where to go and how to get there. The atmosphere was very relaxing, we did get to the Alhambra and Cordoba but we were also very happy to laze by the pool and read and play cards. I would recommend the welcome pack. Enjoy!!

"Nous avons passé une petite semaine au Cortijo Las Rosas au mois d'avril. Nous sommes un couple avec un enfant de 18 mois.
Nous avons passé une semaine extraordinaire, relaxante, dépaysante au milieu des oliviers. Le décor est tout simplement magnifique, le calme règne, la maison est décorée avec goá»t, rien ne manque au niveau de l'équipement y compris pour un enfant de 18 mois (lit, chaise, barrière d'escalier), le panier de bienvenue est également un bon investissement pour une arrivée relax, les attentions et suggestions de Gillian et Marylynne sont toujours les bienvenues. Alors quand la météo est de la partie comme ce fá»t le cas pour nous, on est pas loin de paradis.

A winter break in the Andalucian mountains and we were fortunate to find sisters Gillian and MaryLynne and their wondeful hideaway. Tranquility, bliss and comfort..what more could we have asked for. They were on hand to answer questions, give suggestions and couldn\’t have been more helpful. We are already looking at flights for a return visit to enjoy this wonderful gem of a loacation next summer! 🙂

Un accueil très chaleureux de Gillian et Marylyne au cortijo, toujours disponibles mais très discrètes,avec de bonnes idées d'activités : balades á  cheval/spectacle de flamenco/…Le site est un véritable paradis juché dans les montagnes parmi les oliviers: dépaysement assuré !Repos,relaxation et tranquilité: un endroit ressourcant.
De plus,site stratégique pour accéder aux principales grandes villes culturelles.
Les casitas sont très bien aménagées, très confortables, très agréables,avec une belle piscine.
Les photos du site correspondent bien á  la réalité :que de bonnes surprises; des vacances inoubliables !!!!"

"Nous avons passé 2 semaines de vacances cet été au Cortijo avec nos 2 enfants de 6 et 2 ans.

Le maison isolée au milieu des oliviers est l'endroit idéal pour passer des vacances au calme loin du stress et du bruit de la cá´te.

Il est cependant facile d'aller visiter Antequera, Malaga, Grenade ou Cordoue (environ 1 heure de route) mais ausi Séville (3h de route)

Les enfants ont largement profité de la piscine et des jeux.

La déco est superbe et Marylyne et Gillian veillent sur vous en toute discrétion. Elles vous suggèrent de bonnes idées de visites.

Le panier d'accueil est génial afin de profiter de son week end sans penser aux courses."

“Nous avons passé (un couple et ses deux garcons de 7 et 9 ans) une semaine de merveilleuses vacances cet été au Cortijo, dans la Casita Perdiz, tout comme durant l’été 2009. 8)

Le Cortijo, isolé au milieu des champs d’oliviers, est l’endroit parfait pour justifier le fait que les vacances permettent d’oublier totalement la vie quotidienne du reste de l’année. Néanmoins, sa situation fait qu’il est très facile d’aller visiter des villes comme Malaga, Grenade ou Cordoue sur la journée.

Les enfants peuvent profiter á  loisir des jeux de société présents au Cortijo, du terrain de pétanque, et surtout de la piscine et sa superbe vue … et les parents aussi !!! 🙂

La Casita, décorée avec le meilleur goát, offre tout l’équipement nécessaire pour passer des vacances sans aucun soucis. Le Welcome Pack est incontournable et permet de commencer son séjour sans se préoccuper des courses.

Enfin, Marylyne et Gillian sont toujours práªtes á  faire partager leur parfaire connaissance de la région, mais aussi á  faciliter autant que possible notre séjour, le tout dans la plus parfaite discrétion. 😉

We are a couple with a 4-year old daughter. Our idea of holidays is having time to relax combined with some daytrips to nearby villages or cities spicing up our stay with some cultural exchange. This year, we decided to travel to Andalucia in early September. What a good choice it was.
We have very fond memories of our time in Casita Liebre at Cortijo las Rosas. The premises are rather well hidden at the end of a dirt road amidst a wealth of olive trees, with a view over a beautiful landscape, in particular from the nice swimming pool. The location means that it is a very quiet environment, virtually free of human noise, with a night sky composed of a myriad of stars, and the occasional bird of prey flying by during the day. The weather has been excellent too, being not too warm, with cooler evenings and nights. The casita was very comfortable and decorated with a simple but personal touch. All you need is there, from the well equipped kitchen to quite some brochures for the nearby touristic attractions, some novels, National Geographics, even a TV, and it is very child-friendly.
In addition, the hosts Gilliane and Marylynne are very correct, helpful and kind, from the first moment of email communications until the end of our really superb stay. Their enthusiasm and charm makes that you feel very welcome from the first minute and you can start your holidays without delay. We were also very pleased to have opted for the welcome pack (at a rather modest price) finding a great variety of food products complemented with cold drinks and snacks to put you on track. In addition, you have coffee, tea, spices, olive oil, on top of it.
In summary, six days in Cortijo las Rosas in early September were pretty close to the perfect holidays, at least it was for us. If only we could have booked our return flight a few days later…

Blue skies,shooting stars,olive,fig and pomegranates in abundance..a tranquil haven of peace..but not a million miles from the wonderous Mequita at Cordoba or Al Hambra at Grenada..don’t miss Priego de Cordoba..so pretty..oh and have dinner at Casas Piolas at Algarinejo..what a culinary delight and experience.
Gillian and MaryLynne are so full of enthusiasm with lots of helpful practical holiday and travelling tips.
The Casitas are extremely welcoming and well equipped, nice little touches to get your holiday off to a good start.
It was our first holiday alone..meaning without our children after 25 years of marriage..highly recommended!!!!
