Rural Accommodation Andalucia

I can only echo what everyone else has said. Very well appointed cottages, friendly, helpful hosts and lovely countryside. We went in mid-October and still got lots of sun. Highly recommended.

We spent 10 lovely days here at the end of September, staying in Casitas Liebre. The casita was beautifully appointed with all you could need for proper self catering. The bedrooms were very spacious as were the en-suite bathrooms. I would recommend spending the 20 euros on the welcome pack as it was great value – we managed to make some of it last 2 or 3 days.
The owners, Gillian & Marylynne, could not have been more helpful with advising on trips and making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. It was so nice that they took the trouble to introduce to other people staying at the Cortijo.
I could not recommend this place more highly – I have done many self-catering holidays and in terms of the owners attention to detail in appointing and decorating the accommodation it is the best place I have stayed in.

"Wir haben drei Wochen in der Casita Galgo verbracht und wá.ren am liebsten noch lá.nger geblieben. Sehr hübsch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, viele nette Details wie der Holzofen für ká.ltere Abende oder das sehr gute Olivenöl aus der nahen Cooperative. Der gemeinsam genutzte Pool ist wunderschön (für unseren Geschmack há.tte er noch gröáŸer sein können!), man schwimmt mit Blick in die umgebenden Olivenhaine und den blauen Himmel. Am Abend Sonnenuntergang und Fledermá.use – dann die Sterne und Ruhe.
Marylynne und Gillian sind sehr hilfsbereite und sympathische Gastgeber, die einen mit allen möglichen Tipps zu Sehenswürdigkeiten, Park- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten versehen, ohne jemals aufdringlich zu werden.
Alles in allem ein wunderschönes Fleckchen Erde, das einen sehr ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub garantiert, in dem man sowohl Faulenzen, Wandern als auch sich die Schönheiten Andalusiens ansehen kann, ohne all zu viel Zeit im Auto zubringen zu müssen. Unbedingt zu empfehlen!"

We stayed in the smallest casita (Galgo) for three weeks and loved every minute of it! Nicely decorated, very well thought out, lovely views into the valley. The living-, bed- and bathroom and the patio very soon give you the impression that you\’re \”at home\”, the pool is surrounded by olivetrees – and silence. Marylynne and Gillian are extremely helpful and kind and try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
We\’re just sad that we couldn\’t stay longer… – it was one of our best holidays ever!

Beautifully restored cottages which are lovingly maintained. The pool is divine, with stunning views accross the olive groves and opportunites for being dive bombed by swallows in the evening! We made full use of the barbeque, coutyard and sun loungers. The owners, Gillian and Marylynne were incredibly kind and pandered to our every whim without intruding on our holiday. Highly recommended! Look out for shooting stars.

This was the most perfect place to unwind and relax. Set amongst tranquil olive groves in a beautiful location, it feels a little remote but this adds to its charm and we really can\’t recommend Cortijo las Rosas highly enough.

The casita we stayed in (Liebre) was flawless. Well appointed, really comfortable, clean, spacious and with a lovely private outdoor courtyard, ideal for eating al fresco or having a barbecue. In fact everything there has been well thought out, beautifully designed and stylish. The swimming pool is fantastic with views over the hills and we spent much of our time there; either in the pool, lying by it reading in the shade of the olive trees, or in the evening watching the stars and the swallows Рsounds clich̩d, but it really was without fault.

Gilly and Marylynne are perfect hosts and made us feel at home straight away, they really care that you enjoy your time there. Always ready to answer your questions and give advice on the area, but never ever in your way or intrusive. Their driving instructions on how to reach them and places to visit are impossibly spot on and the welcome pack we ordered with them was ideal and well worth ordering.

As mentioned it is a little remote and the last part of the road is windy and a bit rough, but we had no problems with our hire car on it and just took it slowly. Saying that, getting around is no problem, it\’s a short drive to the local supermarket at Rute and we did day trips to both the Alhambra Palace and Cordoba. We could easily have gone out and seen more, but to be honest it was too relaxing to stay at the casita and walk through the olive groves that we didn\’t feel the need to.

Again, we highly recommend a stay there.

A fantastic peaceful place,we wanted for nothing while we were there. A fantastic place, Gilly and Maryanne have created an oasis. Well done ladies. We will be back x 🙂 :grin 8)

"Nos 11 jours passés á  la Casita Perdiz sont autant de jours de merveilleuses vacances.
Pour les enfants tout d'abord, qui n'ont jamais été á  cours d'activité avec la piscine, les balades, la pétanque et le fameux ""tour du cotijo"".
Pour les parents également, aussi bien par le calme de la piscine que par la beauté du paysage et le confort de la casita.
Tout est prévu pour que le dépaysement soit total et pour que les vacances soient sans soucis.
Merci encore á  Marylynne et Gillian, dont la discrétion n'a d'égale que leur dévouement pour leurs há´tes."

A ne pas manquer, le welcome pack au rapport qualité/prix inégalable.
Un havre de paix isolé au coeur des montagnes d\’oliviers, un bonheur pour petits et grands (jeux et bouées à disposition).

A truly beautiful holiday location in every regard. The location of the casitas is stunning and peaceful. Gilly and Marylynne have renovated and equipped the property with such care and attention to detail and their welcome was so genuine and warm. Even the welcome pack was really special! We so hope to be able to return in the near future. 🙂 🙂
