We had 12 delightful days at Casita Galgo. The accommodation was comfortable and private. All the supporting amenities we required were available in our rooms. The pool was lovely with comfortable sun beds enjoying beautiful hill top views. Sitting out around the pool at night was a sight too with the star patterns clearly visible. Gillian and Marylynne were perfect hosts providing helpful information but not intrusive. They were readily available if required and nothing was too much trouble. Their comprehensive information pack included clear and pin point directions to cities, towns, restaurants etc. One particular gem of a restaurant being only a few km away and worth visiting for lunch or for an evening meal. There was much to see locally and within 60-90 minutes drive with the lovely cities of Cordoba and Granada within easy reach by car. Details of Spanish restaurants to visit in these cities were also provided. All in all a lovely place to stay, relax and sample authentic Spain

By Iznajar, then up with a more beautiful view of the lake of Iznajar and then a dirt road through the olive groves to reach Cortijo las Rosas. Beautifully situated on a hill with a beautiful view from the pool. The welcoming sisters Marylynne and Gillian to this beautiful place 3 spacious casitas, spanish and nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities and comfortable beds. The ability to order a welcome pack is that you need not to look directly at a store because they are not really close. Marylynne and Gillian, they like to share an extensive knowledge of attractions, dining and beautiful routes that with you. The cortijo is a great place to visit cities such as Granada and Antequera but also to do nothing and enjoy the tranquility, the beautiful view and the pool. When the pool is a wonderful place to fine sunbeds. Toilet and shower is also available there, as well as a space where you will find a large refrigerator, so you can enjoy a cool drink by the pool. The cortijo has thick walls, so that even in the hot summer it stays cool inside. Add the fact that there is often an evening breeze rising, and they have wonderful beds: sleeping is no problem. Cortijo las Rosas is for us to be repeated and we can recommend a stay with Gillian and Marylynne wholeheartedly.

Nous avons passé, avec nos 2 enfants, une très belle semaine dans la casita Perdiz. L'endroit est vraiment charmant, perdu dans les collines, au milieu des oliviers. La piscine est très appréciable, surtout après une journée de visite à Grenade, Cordoue ou Malaga, toutes à plus ou moins 1 heure de route.
Les propriétaires sont très attentifs mais pas envahissants et vous laissent profiter tranquillement de la beauté du lieu.
Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

We spent a lovely relaxing week here. The casita was charming-with lovely views over the hills, cool breezes and well equipped kitchen area. thoroughly recommend the welcome pack. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, at hand if needed with useful tips about restaurants and places to visit. A beautiful spot to relax in away from the crowds. We found in difficult to tear ourselves away from the pool and tranquility of the place.

We unreservedly recommend Casita Perdiz at Cortijo las Rosas and wish we were still there. It feels a long way from anywhere, though is in fact 15 minute (uphill!) drive from Iznajar. On arrival we discovered a simple comfortable house, perfectly cool in the Andalusian heat. Stylishly decorated, comfortable beds and great bathrooms. The pool area is particularly lovely with a wonderful view across the valley. At night we sat out there and heard only silence. Both Gillian and Marylynne were welcoming and full of information on places to visit and to eat. Try Casa Piolas is in Algarinejo for Michelin starred quality food at around €50 per head or Tasca Patio De Las Comedias in Iznajar – great tapas. Also on a food theme, we highly recommend the welcome package on offer – high quality local ingredients which kept us going for a day and half. You should also take advantage of the massage and therapy service offered by Sarah Jackson – a treat after a day’s travelling.

What you see…… is exactly what you get. Peace and quiet in beautiful, mountainous scenery. A sympathetically renovated typically white farmhouse in beautifully planted gardens, high up and away from it all some 9km from Iznajar. Everything has been considered by the thoughtful owners: decoration, comfort, cleanliness and ambiance. The whole property is lovingly prepared and maintained to provide a tranquil retreat for guests. Nothing was too much trouble from travel information and bookings; daily discrete check-ins and local information. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Cortijo Las Rosas for those who want to avoid the mayhem of the coast.

Je donnerais 6/5 pour cette location, où tout est réuni pour passser d'agréables vacances : calme, maison impeccable, vue magnifique depuis la pisine, propriétaires charmants toujours disponibles pour vous conseiller ou vous rendre service ! Bref à recommander sans aucune hésitation

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au Cortijo Las Rosas. Le calme de l'endroit, perdu dans les champs d'olivier, est très appréciable. Le Cortijo est idéalement situé pour des balades dans la Sierra Subética et même visiter Grenade à la journée. La piscine est très agréable pour se rafraichir de la chaleur andalouse. Nous étions dans la casita Galgo, très bien équipée pour deux personnes, très propre. Merci à Marylinne et Gillian pour leur accueil.

Uitstekende plek voor rustzoekers. Na tien minuten rijden van Iznajar, moet je een landweggetje op vol kuilen en gaten. Je vraagt je af "waar komen we toch terecht". Nou, in het kleine paradijsje dat Cortijo Las Rosas heet. Lieflijk, vriendelijk, kleinschalig. Het ziet er allemaal geweldig uit. Ons appartement was ruim met stijlvolle inrichting in andulusische sfeer, super schoon, compleet, privé patio. Leuk zwembad met mooi uitzicht, mooie buitenruimte, prachtige omgeving met olijfgaarden. Op ongeveer een uur rijden van Cordoba en Granada (afstanden in zuid-Spanje zijn groot!). Of dichterbij: Antequerra en El Torcal. De eigenaren zijn zeer gastvrij, zorgen goed voor hun gasten en erg goed op de hoogte van bezienswaardigheden, restaurantjes etc in de omgeving, je voelt je er echt welkom. Beslist een aanrader!

This is really a wonderful place to stay. Gillian and Marylynne are caring and very helpful hosts and seem to have thought of everything…including thoughtful provisions for our four year old son in the welcome basket we ordered. Our casita was really well equipped with excellent sized bedrooms and large bathrooms and the washing machine and extra fridge space for guests' use were really helpful to have on hand. The pool area and the gardens are beautiful and very restful with wonderful views. We spent a really relaxed week here and would love to go back.
