Très bon séjour à la Casita Liebre. Endroit paisible. Propiétaires discrets et charmants. Très belle décoration, rien ne manque. Le patio réservé à chaque casita est très agréable pour passer les moments en famille. Belle piscine et idéalement située avec vue magnifique sur les collines d’oliviers.  Tout est impeccable.

Very good stay at Casita Liebre . Peaceful place. Owners discreet and charming . Beautiful decor , nothing is missing . The patio reserved for each casita is lovely to spend time with family . Nice swimming pool and ideally located with beautiful views of the hills of oliviers. All is impeccable.

Excellent accueil de Marylynne et Gillian dans un gîte au milieu des Oliveraies. L’endroit est très reposant, tout est fait pour la quiétude des résidents (gîte très bien équipé, jardin entretenu, piscine et jeux avec une très belle vue sur la vallée)

Excellent home of Marylynne and Gillian in a cottage in the middle of olive groves . The place is very relaxing , everything is done for the tranquility of the residents (cottage very well equipped, maintained garden, pool and games with a beautiful view of the valley)

Un véritable havre de paix au cœur des oliviers avec une vue magnifique sur la campagne andalouse. Les logements sont décorés avec goût et extrêmement bien équipés. Les propriétaires mettent vraiment tout en œuvre pour qu’on se sente comme à la maison.

A fantastic setting surrounded by olive trees with a magnificent view over the andalusian countryside. The accommodation has been wonderfully decorated with more than everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The owners have really gone out of their way to make you feel like you are in your own home.

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit Blick über die Olivenhaine. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und jede Wohnung hat einen gemütlichen Innenhof. Außerdem gibt es einen traumhaftem Pool und die Vermieterinnen sind super nett. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal dorthin.

A beautiful house overlooking the olive groves. The apartment is very nicely furnished and each apartment has a cozy courtyard. There is also a fantastic pool and the landlords are super nice. We felt very comfortable and will definitely holiday there again.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour, grâce à Marylynne et Gillian nos charmantes hôtesses qui sont dévouées aux hôtes. Tout y est comme à la maison dans la casita, et un plus avec le panier d’accueil pour débuter le séjour pour un cout dérisoire qui rend bien service.  A l’extérieur tout est bien pensé pour toute la famille avec les jeux pour la piscine, et autres divers et variés, ainsi que les glacières pour partir faire un pic nique.  Un magnifique séjour au calme avec une vue splendide. Nous avons hâte d’y revenir, à très bientôt nous l’espérons.

We had a wonderful time, thanks to Gillian & Marylynne, our charming hostesses who are dedicated hosts.  Everything is like home in the casita and the welcome basket to start the stay for a ridiculous cost makes for good service.  Outside everything is well thought of for the whole family with games for the pool as well as other diverse and varied games.  There are coolers for making a picnic at lunch time.  A beautiful calm stay with a gorgeous view.  We look forward to coming back, hopefully very soon.

One week of pure disconnect from emails, phone calls and the rush of work…

In the middle of nowhere but not far from several very Spanish, very Andalucian villages and towns, Cortijo Las Rosas is the place to find true tranquility and impeccable comfort.

Set with much decorative gusto, Las Rosas has nearly everything going for it:
– 3 separate houses (we stayed at Casita Liebre, the photogenic most ancient part of it all) with private court (great for lunches and dinners) and all equipment needed to hold a fort with the option to stay in the sun, in the shadow or in the refreshingly chilled interiors.
– A swimming pool – feeling very cold at first but gaining grade upon grade every visit to eventually become the ideal pool – with space to sun-bathe or enjoy a romantic dinner or just some drinks against delicately sun-soaked tiled walls.
– A magnificent garden around giving the pool a surreal wallpaper of a touristic postcard for romantic hermits and trekkers.
– And again a location that brings you near: a lake that is more of a beach than the coast around Almuñecar, lovely quaint little towns (Iznajar and Priego de Cordoba), a Michelin style restaurant in Algarinejo, and miles and miles of proud olive groves set against the hills of Andalucia’s intimate countryside.
– Not to mention the owners (Gillian and Marylynne)’s fantastic hospitality, responsive by email and warm and helpful in person; providing extremely clear guidelines to reach the house (which was helpful considering GPS reception is not great there); helping with any practical or cultural question about the house or the surroundings and having prepared a fantastic manual/guide for guests; kind and helpful every bit of the way and very respectful of and attentive to guests’ privacy and needs.

If you are up for reconnecting to your deeper self and forgetting about all the toxic buzz of our busy urban lives, come and enjoy ‘Las Rosas’ to the max as we did!

What a nice surprise to arrive at the cortijo and be greeted like old friends by the owners, Marylynne and Gillian. We enjoyed the casita Liebre, which we shared with friends. Everything was lovely and beautifully decorated with care; the well appointed kitchen, the comfy beds, ensuite bathrooms, cosy sitting area. We highly recommend the welcome pack, stocked with food and drink supplies to last a few days so grocery shopping is not immediately necessary. The gardens surrounding the casitas were alive with colourful flowers and shady trees. Each casita has its own private patio with outdoor eating table and chairs as well as comfy lounge chairs. And the swimming pool was so refreshing and clean with a panoramic view of the valley and olive groves. Plenty of pool toys and games for kids, young and old! Our hosts were so helpful with recommendations for day trips, shopping and restaurants. Our casita was stocked with maps, brochures and guide books of nearby Andalucian towns and sites. We did day trips to several places including Granada (Alhambra), Ronda, Antequera, and Priego de Cordoba. Malaga and the Costa del Sol are only an hour or so away by car. All in all the accommodations are top notch! Perfect for a couple’s getaway or for a large party of family and/or friends to rent one or all of the casitas. We would definitely like to return and highly recommend this wonderful Andalucian oasis, with fabulous hosts who go out of their way to take care of their guests!

Wir haben eine gute Woche in diesem Casita zugebracht. Wer den ländlichen Urlaub der Hektik eines Hotels vorzieht, ist hier bestens untergebracht. Das ganze Anwesen ist ein Traum!! Liebevoll bis ins kleinste Detail eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts. Luxus pur. Jedes Ferienwohnung besitzt einen Innenhof mit SItzplatz, Liegen, Grill.Dort kann man toll entspannen, wenn man von seinen AUsflügen abdnds heimkehrt. DIe Lage ist sehr gut um Cordoba, Granada oder auch Sevilla usw. zu besuchen. Das ist an einem Tag zu erreichen. Sehr gut sind die Wegbeschreibungen zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten Andalusiens.
Wunderbarer Pool mit Liegen, AUflagen, Handtüchern, seperater Dusche.
AUßderdem noch ein extra Kühlschrank und Gefriertruhe für die Gäste um im heißen Sommer ausreichende Getränke zu kühlen. Wasserspielzug und anderes Spielzeug für KInder. Klasse! Da das Landgut etwas abseits liegt, wird auch noch angeboten den Kühlschrank mit einem “Starterpaket” zu füllen. Es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Der einzige Nachteil könnte sein, das man etwas abseits liegt, und auf einer kleinen,kurvenreichen Straße zum Anwesen fährt. Ist aber nach dem ersten Mal kein Problem mehr.
ALso wer geruhsamen Landurlaub mitten in Andalusien sucht, und trotzdem nicht auf die bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten verzichten will, ist hier genau richtig.

This is high quality accommodation where every detail has been thought out and lovingly prepared to give guests the best possible experience.  We had a warm welcome from Marilynne and Gillian who both showed us around. We were surprised, in spite of poring over the details when we booked, by how spacious the accommodation is; the bedrooms each had their own massive ensuite, tiled throughout, with oodles of fluffy towels; the beds were comfortable, and the sitting room managed to be cool and cosy at the same time with all the rich cushions, rugs and Moroccan style lamp. The kitchen was ten times better than mine at home! We paid for the welcome pack, as we were arriving just before Easter and didn’t want to have to rush out before everything closed for the celebrations; it was incredibly good value – it would have lasted us twice as long! The patio was shady and lush with flowers in pots; the pool had stunning views and plenty of toys to entertain us as we “winced” our way into the water – it was unheated, so chilly at that time of year, but invigorating once we were in… and there was always the view to distract you.

All in all a fabulous location, warm welcome and beautifully well appointed accommodation; I can’t think how it could be improved and would definitely recommend it.

Gillian and Marylynne are the perfect hosts for a perfect holiday in rural Andalusia.  Located in the middle of a million olive trees sits Cortija las Rosas a beautifully restored farm house with 3 wonderfully decorated and equipped casitas.  Get ready for a wonderful place to relax and immerse oneself in Andalusian hospitality in this spectacular location.  The three casitas are immaculately clean and are surrounded by colourful Geraniums, Lavender, Jasmin and kitchen herbs that are available to the guests for preparing their meals. This rural accommodation is perfectly situated for day trips to Cordoba, Granda, and other charming towns like Priego de Cordoba.  The lovely swimming pool awaits you when you return from your day trips or one can just rest and relax around the pool that is equipped with umbrellas, chaise lounges and towels.
